DMCA / Copyright Policy - Montreal Best IPTV
Last updated: January 1, 2026
Montreal Best IPTV respects intellectual property rights. As a service operator based in Canada we comply with the Canadian Copyright Modernization Act's Notice-and-Notice regime, and we accept Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notifications from US rights-holders in good faith. This page explains how to submit a takedown notice and what to expect.
1. Reporting Infringing Content
If you are the owner of a copyright (or authorised agent) and believe content available via our website infringes your rights, send a written notice to our designated copyright agent at [email protected].
2. Required Information in a Takedown Notice
Your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing, with enough detail (URL, screenshot) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the owner, agent, or law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner.
Incomplete notices may be returned for clarification before we act.
3. Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid notice we will:
- Acknowledge your notice within 5 business days.
- Investigate the claim promptly.
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material if appropriate.
- Notify the affected subscriber/agent and forward the notice (in accordance with the Notice-and-Notice regime).
Montreal Best IPTV does not store, host or upload third-party copyrighted broadcasts on our own servers. Streams transit through licensed CDN partners; takedowns are forwarded to the responsible upstream operator when applicable.
4. Counter-Notice
If your content has been removed in error and you believe you have the right to use the material, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address. The counter-notice must contain:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its prior location.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec, Canada (and, where relevant, the federal district where you reside in the USA).
5. Repeat Infringers
We may terminate the accounts of subscribers who are determined to be repeat infringers, in line with our Terms of Service.
6. Fraudulent Notices
Submitting a false takedown notice may expose the sender to liability under Canadian and US law (including section 512(f) of the DMCA). Please ensure your notice is accurate.
